Wellness Recovery Action Plan
WRAP
WRAP is a way to reconnect with what keeps you well.

We’ve seen again and again how the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) can change lives. Developed by individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges, WRAP is a simple yet profound process that helps you remember your strength, recognize what wellness looks like for you, and create a plan that supports your daily life and long-term well-being.

WRAP invites you to explore questions like:

-
What helps me stay grounded, connected, and well?
-
What throws me off track, and how can I respond with care?
-
How do I want to be supported if I’m ever in crisis?
-
What values guide my recovery and healing?
You’ll discover personal wellness tools, create daily and crisis plans, and practice tuning in to your early warning signs—so you can take action before things escalate. Along the way, you’ll also be guided by the five key recovery concepts: hope, personal responsibility, education, self-advocacy, and support.
“Learning my early warning signs was a game changer for me. I can now get ahead of stressors by catching them while they’re small and easily manageable.”
— Teri Owen, Peer Support Training Manager and WRAP Facilitator
This work can be personal and transformative—done at your own pace, with support from peers who understand what it’s like to navigate mental health challenges. WRAP honors your voice, your choices, and your wisdom.
“As someone who used to have a Master’s degree in low self-esteem and self-deprecation, writing down what I was doing for my wellness gave me a sense of empowerment, especially when I needed it most.”
— WRAP Participant, Peer Support
