Peer Supporters

The Peer Supporters track supports skills development of peer supporters. Peer supporters participating in learning cohorts or communities, or attending topical workshops will gain practical and useful skills. This track is for developing Pier 360 team members and other peer supporters in the region.

The topics will include:
 

• Managing the “fixer”

• Boundaries and ethics

• Power of intentional language

• Group facilitation

• Working from a trauma-informed perspective

• Cultural awareness and humility

• Supporting self-advocacy

• Self-care as a priority

• Work ethics and professionalism
