Pier 360 Executive Director, Brad Berry, was hired 20 years ago today. We take a moment to honor his steady, often unseen service and leadership over the years.

In 2006, CVAB was comprised of Brad as Director and two volunteers. Today, Pier 360 is a community of over 40 peers, with multiple departments and two centers serving Southwest Washington.

This growth did not happen all at once. It reflects years of consistency, relationship-building, and a deep commitment to peer-led support.

Pier 360 continues to evolve in how it supports peers living with mental health challenges and/or navigating recovery from substance use—meeting people where they are, and walking alongside them with respect and dignity.

At its core, this work has always been about people. About creating space for lived experience, for connection, and for the belief that recovery is possible.

Brad, thank you for everything you do, have done, and continue to do.

Your leadership shaped Pier 360 (from CVAB) into a meaningful and effective contribution to the community, and a model for peer-led organizations.

We are grateful for the path you’ve built—and for the work that continues.
